Golf Services:

QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous Front Desk experience is necessary.
Computer literacy a must, with Property Manager System and Delphi applications an asset.
Professional appearance and demeanour.
A passion for Guest Service and a skill for anticipating guest needs.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.
Post secondary education in Hotel Management an asset; career oriented.

OBJECTIVE:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Job Description
Develop, implement and maintain quality standards for outlets, including managing and direction of service staff. Ensure excellent customer service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Interview, select, train, manage, counsel and discipline restaurant, in room dining and refreshment centre staff for the efficient operation of the outlets. Organize and conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings communicating pertinent information to the staff, such as house count and menu changes. Schedule and direct staff in their work assignments.
Interact positively with customers promoting hotel facilities and services. Resolve problems to the satisfaction of involved parties. Answer telephones in a clear voice, coordinate and document reservations. Organize special events in the restaurant such as receptions. Maintain communication with all departments to ensure customer service needs are met.
Move throughout facility and kitchen areas to visually monitor and take action to ensure food quality and service standards are met. Verify temperatures, judge appearance and taste of products and check preparation methods to determine quality. Give guidance toward improvement and make necessary adjustments for consistency.
Maintain profitability of outlets to support overall hotel operation. Control payroll and equipment costs (minimizing loss and misuse). Ensure par stock levels are maintained by calculating inventory, ordering and retrieving supplies and stocking shelves. Evaluate cost effectiveness of all aspects of operation. Develop and implement cost saving and profit enhancing measures.
Utilize prescribed cash handling procedures to accurately charge customers, create forecast and revenue reports and write correspondence.

Job Requirements
We are searching for the right candidate to fill the role of Banquet Manager. This dynamic individual will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Banquet Department. The Banquet Manager is responsible for supervising over 60 associates, coordinating all banquet events, both on and off-site, and liaising with other departments and meeting planners.
The successful candidate will have excellent food & wine knowledge as well as the Serving it Right designation. Superior organizational and communication skills will ensure effective and efficient scheduling and labour costing. Four to five years experience in a similar role within a Four-Diamond setting, will allow you to maintain and exceed our customers expectations and Westin standards.
